Black Kapton Tape: 18-1A-XC
18-1A-XC Black Kapton Tape is an electrically conductive Kapton® polyimide tape composed of black antistatic Type XC polyimide film backed with high temperature 3M™ 966 acrylic adhesive. This adhesive offers low “outgassing” properties. These tapes are used primarily in electrical applications such as capacitor wrapping, gold finger masking, insulation in transformers, coils, flat cables and connectors and high temperature harness wrapping.
Product Application
Black Kapton tape is used for electrical insulation of wires, cables and electronic components in aerospace systems, it is also utilized in aerospace applications to provide thermal protection for components and surfaces exposed to extreme temperatures and often used for surface marking and identification purposes in aerospace systems.
